Who We Are

This is your Medical Healthcare Clinic in Zanzibar, delivering personalised and professional healthcare services. At Urban Care Clinic, you will receive medical consultations and assistance paired with medical competence and an empathetic, patient-centered approach. Coordinated by our medical director Jenny Bouraima, MD trained in Germany and MSc in GHID from University of Edinburgh, our doctors are available for in-house consultations, home visits, emergency visits and remote Video Consultation. 

The time spent with each of our patients is more than average, as shared decision-making is an integral part of our medical practice. We believe that each patient has the right to fully understand their current state of health and play an active role in the planning and execution of their treatment plan.

We currently have an outpatient department for our general medical, ante- and postnatal patients, ultrasonography, a laboratory and a dental department. Additionally, we offer nutritional and psychotherapeutic counseling. Through our in-house pharmacy, you are able to obtain over-the-counter and prescription medication. We always have a doctor on call for you, in case you have a medical issue outside of normal office hours, we are available 24/7. Should there be the need for admission, you can rest assured that our private inpatient rooms with en-suite bathrooms are designed for maximum comfort.
