Si sa molto sul ruolo della salute fisica e mentale della madre nel benessere del nascituro. Uno studio recente rivela che quando si tratta di parto pretermine, non \u00e8 solo la salute mentale di una madre che conta.<\/p>\n

Lo studio, pubblicato sulla rivista PLOS Medicine, suggerisce che i bambini nati da padri con malattie psichiatriche hanno un aumentato rischio di parto pretermine.<\/p>\n

Secondo il CHI<\/a> stime, circa 13,4 milioni di bambini sono nati pretermine nel 2020. Fattori come gravidanze multiple, infezioni, influenza genetica e condizioni croniche come il diabete e l'ipertensione possono causare nascite pretermine.<\/p>\n

\u201cLa nascita pretermine \u00e8 associata a conseguenze negative sulla salute dei neonati. Le donne con diagnosi psichiatriche sono a maggior rischio di parto pretermine, ma si sa meno del rischio nella prole di padri con diagnosi psichiatriche e per le coppie in cui entrambi i genitori avevano diagnosi psichiatriche", hanno detto i ricercatori del Karolinska Institute in un comunicato stampa<\/a>.<\/p>\n
