Una donna di 23 anni si \u00e8 presentata al pronto soccorso con una storia di 1 anno di dolore atraumatico alla spalla destra. Nei mesi precedenti, il dolore era peggiorato e il suo raggio di movimento si era notevolmente ridotto. Per il resto era in forma e sana.<\/p>\n

All'esame, la sua spalla appariva normale e non vi era alcun evidente deficit neurovascolare, compreso il nervo ascellare. Non aveva alcun movimento attivo in nessuna direzione, ma passivamente poteva portare la sua spalla a 60\u00b0 di abduzione e flessione in avanti.<\/p>\n

Una semplice radiografia della spalla (Figura 1<\/cross-ref>) mostra una lesione litica lobulata, espansiva e mal definita all'interno della testa omerale destra e della diafisi omerale prossimale. La lesione interessava la diafisi, la metafisi e l'epifisi.<\/p>\n

\u00c8 stata richiesta una risonanza magnetica (figura 2<\/cross-ref>) per aiutare a stabilire la diagnosi. Ci\u00f2 conferm\u00f2 una lesione espansiva che aveva sostituito la testa omerale e addossata alla superficie articolare.
