Eine neuartige Studie hat gezeigt, dass die Verschreibung einer Medikamentendosierung entsprechend der DNA eines Patienten die Nebenwirkungen um 30% senken kann \u2013 einen erheblichen Wert.<\/p>\n

Die internationale Studie wurde vom Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) geleitet und ihre Ergebnisse wurden in der Zeitschrift The Lancet ver\u00f6ffentlicht.<\/p>\n

Wie Menschen auf Medikamente reagieren, ist aufgrund unterschiedlicher genetischer Informationen sehr unterschiedlich. \u201eEine personalisierte Behandlung ist daher w\u00fcnschenswert\u201c, so das Universit\u00e4tsklinikum.<\/p>\n

Die Forscher erstellten einen DNA-Medikamentenpass, der die von der DNA beeinflusste Medikamentendosis dem DNA-Profil eines Patienten zuordnet. Durch das Scannen des Passes erfahren \u00c4rzte und Apotheker, welche Medikamentendosis optimal f\u00fcr den Behandelten geeignet ist. <\/p>\n

F\u00fcr die Studie rekrutierten die Forscher rund 7.000 Patienten aus sieben europ\u00e4ischen L\u00e4ndern, um den Pass zu testen. Jedem Teilnehmer wurde ein Medikament verschrieben, dessen Verarbeitung durch die DNA beeinflusst wird. Die Studie beschr\u00e4nkte sich auf 39 ausgew\u00e4hlte Medikamente aus einer Vielzahl medizinischer Fachgebiete, darunter Onkologie, Kardiologie, Psychiatrie und Allgemeinmedizin. Die Teilnehmer wurden in zwei Gruppen eingeteilt \u2013 die H\u00e4lfte verwendete die Standarddosis des Arzneimittels, w\u00e4hrend bei dem Rest die Dosierung basierend auf ihrem DNA-Pass angepasst wurde, so die Verkaufsstelle.<\/p>\n

Vor Beginn des Medikamentenplans wurde die DNA jedes Patienten kartiert. Durch die Untersuchung von 12 spezifischen Genen fanden die Forscher heraus, dass 50 Arten genetischer Varianten die Wirkung der 39 ausgew\u00e4hlten Medikamente beeinflussten. Nach 12 Wochen wurden die Patienten von einem Pflegefachpersonal um Feedback zur H\u00e4ufigkeit von Nebenwirkungen wie Durchfall, An\u00e4mie, Nervenschmerzen oder Geschmacksverlust gebeten.<\/p>\n

\u201eDie Lancet-Studie ergab, dass Patienten, die das Medikament Pass aktiv nutzen und deren Dosen entsprechend ihrer DNA angepasst werden, 30% weniger schwerwiegende Nebenwirkungen haben als Patienten, denen eine Standarddosis des Medikaments verschrieben wurde\u201c, hei\u00dft es in der Erkl\u00e4rung.<\/p>\n

Dar\u00fcber hinaus waren die Patienten mit der Nutzung des Passes zufrieden, da sie das Gef\u00fchl hatten, mehr Kontrolle \u00fcber ihre Behandlung zu haben und in diese einbezogen zu werden.<\/p>\n
